May 26th, 2013 - Frustrating Weekend for Hubbard with Three State Flyers
1Austin Hubbard opened a busy weekend with the Three State Flyers Super Late Model Series on Friday night at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Maryland).

The $3,000-to-win event drew a field of thirty-two entries to the 1/2 mile oval, and on a very slick track Hubbard failed to transfer to the feature via heat race action, but a third place finish in his b-main locked him to the twenty-third starting spot for the main event. He went on to record a twentieth place finish in the final rundown.

On Saturday night the action shifted to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), where thirty-one entries registered for action in the $3,000-to-win program. For the second straight night he was forced to the b-main with an ill-handling car. He earned a starting spot at the tail of the feature before advancing to a fifteenth place finish.

Sunday brought the team to Hesston Speedway (Hesston, Pennsylvania) for a program that was highlighted by $4,044-to-win double features for the Three State Flyers competitors. Unfortunately in his heat race Austin received contact from behind that resulted in a flat tire. He would go on to disappointingly fail to qualify for the finales as his night come to an early end.

May 17th, 2013 - Austin Hubbard Seventh with Ultimate Series at County Line
1Austin entered his first Ultimate Late Model Series program of the 2013 season on Friday night as he traveled to County Line Raceway (Elm City, North Carolina). The $5,000-to-win program drew a field of twenty-one entries to the facility, and time trial action left Hubbard just short of locking into the feature, but a win in the b-main positioned him starting tenth on the grid for the 50 lap finale. Unfortunately passing would be difficult in the feature, but Austin would still manage to advance to the seventh position by lap 41, when the race was ended early for rain.

The team was scheduled to compete in the USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) on Saturday night, but Mother Nature forced the event to be mixed.

May 11th, 2013 - Hubbard Competes with LOLMDS at La Salle
1Austin Hubbard traveled to northern Illinois over the weekend to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) in a pair of $10,000-to-win programs at La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois).

On Friday night with a stout field of cars in the pits the program was canceled just before hot laps as track officials decided that heavy rains from the night prior had left the track unsafe for racers.

As a result a single, $10,000-to-win program was contested on Saturday evening at the 1/4 mile oval. Thirty-eight competitors registered for battle and struggles in preliminary action forced Austin to utilize a series' provisional to start the feature in the twenty-fourth position. He would go on to register a twenty-second place finish.

May 4th, 2013 - Austin Hubbard Bags Pair of Top Five Finishes in Weekend Action

1With the weekend's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) weekend events washed away by Mother Nature Austin modified his weekend schedule to participate in a pair of events in Virginia and Ohio.

The weekend opened on Friday night at Eastside Speedway (Waynesboro, Virginia) with a $5,000-to-win event, which was sanctioned by the Three State Flyers. With twenty-four entries in the pit area Austin locked into the tenth starting spot for the 40 lap finale at the 3/8 mile oval. During the course of the feature he advanced seven spots on his way to a third place finish behind race winner, Greg Satterlee, and Jason Covert. Full results from both events are available at

Saturday evening found the team traveling to Southern Ohio Speedway (Wheelersburg, Ohio) for the $12,000-to-win, Southern 100. The unsanctioned event saw thirty-one Super Late Models on hand to do battle on a rough and fast track. After missing the transfer spot to the feature by two positions in heat race action Austin recorded a second place finish in the b-main to earn the twentieth starting spot on the grid for the 60 lap feature. In the main event Hubbard mounted a great charge as he passed fifteen cars on his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Doug Drown, R.J. Conley, Mike Marlar, and Josh McGuire.
