November 9th, 2013 - Hubbard Competes in 7th Annual World Finals
1Austin Hubbard piloted his #11 Hubbard Motorsports/Trinity Logistics/Rocket/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model in his final event of the 2013 season over the weekend with a trip to the Dirt Track at Charlotte for the 7th Annual World Finals at the state-of-the-art, 3/8 mile oval.

Seventy-four competitors registered for the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event. Qualifying on Thursday evening set the heat race line-ups for the next two nights, and on Friday night Hubbard started 5th in his heat race, and with passing being difficult he would only be able to manage a 5th place finish, which relegated him to a b-main. In the b-main Austin raced forward from the 3rd starting spot to claim the victory, which locked him into the $12,000-to-win main event in the 23rd spot. The feature once again saw limited passing, and Hubbard retired just before the halfway point to a 26th place finish.

Saturday night's program found Austin starting 7th in his heat race before advancing to a 6th place finish, which relegated him to a b-main. In the consolation event with only the top two finishers transferring to the feature Hubbard would only manage to finish 5th as his night came to an early end.
