October 25th, 2014 - Austin Hubbard Travels to South Carolina for Big Weekend
1Austin Hubbard made the long haul to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) over the weekend for a double header with the Southern Nationals Bonus Series.

Friday night found Austin competing in a $7,000-to-win, preliminary program against a strong field of twenty-two Super Late Models. Hubbard qualified sixth in his group to lock into the 40 lap main event. Unfortunately, mechanical issues plagued the team during the feature, forcing him to retire to a disappointing seventeenth place finish.

The 24th Annual Blue/Gray 100 was contested on Saturday night as a $10,000 winner's check was on the line. A third place finish in his heat race would lock Austin into the 100 lap finale. Unfortunately, a mechanical failure on his #11 Hubbard Motorsports/Trinity Logistics/MasterSbilt by Huey/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model would force him to retire just passed the halfway point to a 21st place finish.

October 18th, 2014 - Hubbard Comes Up Short at Delaware
1Hubbard Motorsports made the short trip to Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware) over the weekend for the annual Delaware State Dirt Track Championship at the clay oval.

Austin Hubbard locked into the $5,000-to-win main event via preliminary action on Friday night. When the race went green on Saturday, Hubbard methodically worked his way forward and assumed the top spot on lap eighteen from race-long leader, Andrew Mullins.

At the halfway point it was Hubbard out front with Mullins a close second. The second caution flag of the event waved shortly after when Nick Davis slowed with a flat. Back under green, Hubbard quickly opened a commanding lead. That was erased on lap thirty-five when Brandon Dennis slowed with a flat to bring out the caution once again.

Hubbard remained in control on the restart, but disaster would strike with eight laps remaining when he slowed off turn two with a right rear flat to draw the caution. Austin limped his #11 Hubbard Motorsports/Trinity Logistics/MasterSbilt by Huey/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model into the work area for a fresh tire, and was able to restart at the tail of the field.

Hubbard recovered to a sixth place finish in the closing laps behind race winner, Rob Schirmer, Ross Robinson, Donald Lingo Jr., Amanda Whaley and Kerry King Jr.
