October 28th, 2017 - Runner-up Finish Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend
1Pulling double duty in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks, Austin Hubbard headed to Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Delaware) on Friday night for the Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend. Earning the 16th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Hubbard suffered a flat-tire early that saw him visit pit lane on lap 14. Coming from the tail of the field, Austin wheeled his way to the front and challenged Ricky Elliott for the lead on the final lap but came up short at the line to place 2nd. Kyle Hardy, Jamie Lathroum, and Mark Pettyjohn completed the Top 5 finishers in the 40-lap affair.

In the Rush Crate Late Model division, Austin and another competitor were battling for the top spot late in the 20-lapper until both of them made contact sending them to the tail. Hubbard reeled in a 12th place outing in the remaining distance.
