March 30th, 2013 - Austin Finishes Enjoys Great Weekend at La Salle
With the scheduled National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Model Series events at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Kentucky) and I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Missouri) facing an unfavorable forecast, the team traveled to La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois) over the weekend for the Thaw Brawl

With a talented field of forty-six Super Late Models in the pit area on Friday night for the $2,000-to-win event Hubbard blazed to his heat race win to lock into the second starting spot for the main event. In the feature Austin grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag as he went wheel-to-wheel with Dennis Erb Jr. during the opening laps before Erb Jr. took control of the top spot. Hubbard went on to record a second place finish at the checkered flag. Jimmy Mars, Frank Heckanast Jr., and Jason Feger rounded out the top five at the checkered flag.

On Saturday night the first place money increased to $10,000-to-win as forty entries took to the track in the event, which was sanctioned by the Sunoco American Late Model Series. Austin again started his night with a heat race win to lock into the fourth starting spot for the main event. He battled in the top five throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the fifth spot behind race winner, Brian Birkhofer, Chris Simpson, Brandon Sheppard, and Billy Drake.

March 23rd, 2013 - Hubbard Returns to Action with LOLMDS at Brownstown

After a one month break 1Austin Hubbard was back in action on Saturday night with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) in the 16th Annual Indiana Ice Breaker at the 1/4 mile oval.

Thirty-seven Super Late Models entered the event, and after qualifying tenth fastest in his group Austin started fifth in heat race action. Unfortunately mechanical woes in his heat forced him pitside, and after starting tenth in a b-main he only managed a seventh place finish. As a result he was forced to utilize a series' provisional to start in the twenty-third position for the $10,000-to-win, 50 lap feature. His luck wouldn't be any better in the main event as he exited early to a twenty-fifth place finish.
